Historical Victims ( Thanksgiving?)

by Dan

Since man has walked this earth there have been victims. Not just a primitive man falling victim to a fall from a cliff, or an attack by a wild animal but victims against race and culture. The white man notoriously had fear of the unknown. When confronted with fear, an unacceptable male trait, it is usually displayed as anger. Ingrained beliefs of one true religion, and one and only way to worship led to attempts at conversion. If these attempts fell short people were systematically victimized by torture and death. Compound that by grossly distorted history lessons over time. Our children , including myself were educated in traditional schools to swallow recurrent lies. Hence, we also became victims of distorted history. One lie covered up another.

Individuals of color have consistently been victimized over time. Power, control, monetary gain, and a foundation of fear have consistently led to a destruction, if not a genocide of other cultures. Our country still presents itself as an arrogant holier than thou country, attempting to one up itself to others.

In 2008 Thanksgiving is still being taught in many grade schools as a day of thanks. Pilgrims and Indians sat down broke bread and gave thanks to each other. It is portrayed better than any Norman Rockwell painting, and gives warm fuzzies to the hearts of naive children. Thanksgiving in the LITERALL SENSE, is the celebration of a massacre of indigenous people. In a sermon in 1623 in Plymouth, Massachusetts; Thomas Mather, an elder gave special thanks to God for the devastating plague that wiped out most of the Wampanoag Indians.” I praise God for destroying chiefly the young men and the children, the very seeds of increase, thus clearing the forests to make way for a better growth.”

In 1637, Governor Bradford, gave orders to sneak into an Indian camp and kill all men, women and children. He stated, and I quote,: It was a fearful sight to see them frying in the fire and the streams of blood quenching the same and horrible was the stink and stench there of. But the victory seemed a sweet sacrifice and we give thanks and praise thereof to God. We have sent 600 heathen souls to hell.”

Being a victim of any atrocity or abuse is horrendous, let alone have a group, or nation celebrate the victimization. Of course the majority of individuals are unaware, and it has become a mindless family gathering. It would be nice if just a few who read this page would do their own research and educate their own family this upcoming Thanksgiving.

At what cost do we hide the truth? To protect image. Why not explore it for yourself. Let us not live our lives with lies pushed down our children’s throat year after year. Find your own passion. Become motivated to find the historical truth of America. Whether it be an over reaction with swine flu, chemical weapons falling from the sky, the need to load up on duct tape and tarps or the historical lies of our past. It behooves you to find out the truth. It just might set your soul free.

I am training to become a counsellor and I came across your website My topic is how does sexual abuse affect the soul. When I read some of the imformation on your site I was floored, and impressed how radically honest you are I asked do you belived in Christ in all this unfairness? Because with such deep understanding a lot of people do not belive in the Creator. No matter where we are living life is unfair for example as a Grenadian when it come to borrowing money from the banks to have our own business our bankers will denigh us the opportunity to do so yet it is made easy for the Chinese and Indians to borrow our own Grenadian money, we have save for years through our Great Great grandparent and now our children. I ask myself Where were these people during the time we kept those banks in business so you see injustice is everywhere and this is just a drop in the bucket but thanks to people like you the Lord has put out there with articles like yours it brings a comfort to know despite of the evil we faces everyday continue to do good thank again

Thank you so much. That is a wonderful compliment. I have always wanted to seek out the truth. We are a cautious people these days. I remain optimistic that, ” truth ” will win out in the end. I wish you a good path as a counselor, you have passion, and desire, that my friend will take you far. Treat all your patients as if they are your family members. We are all related………
