To all of my fans and followers, The book, “Above His Shoulders” has far surpassed my expectations. Thanks to all who have purchased it and donated to causes for abused children. Due to the enormous feedback and interest, I have tried to add more information, not only on abused children, but many areas in psychology. Some are; battered women, personality disorders, self esteem,divorce, parenting,dating tips, hubris and many other areas that all of us deal with while we walk this path of life. We try to stay healthy and filter through the distortions, embellishments and stress of every day. Oprah Steps up to the Plate, Hits home run on male sex abuse.

Oprah stepped up to the plate with no embellishment, no sensationalism. She had a great show on November 5th and will air the second part on November 12th this coming Friday. The more awareness on this issue of sex abuse the better. All too frequently women are stereotyped as the victim. Yes, statistics show the majority of sex abuse victims are women, however one in six men have experienced sex abuse. There are far less books written on the topic of male sex abuse, and because of stereotypes men are reluctant to come forward. “Above His Shoulders” is only one of many resources to give a path of healing, and show through metaphors and hope that there is indeed a light at the end of the tunnel. Frequently we close off, and lock away the secrets, they rear their ugly head later in life and in relationships, and throughout life experiences. When one realizes that disclosure can be a catalyst for help, the quicker one will walk down a path of resolution. November 12th, Oprah be there.

Above His Shoulders would like to announce a new release by author Ron Weckerly. It is an awesome book, that is not only emtionaly riveting, however, also has numbered points that target how to heal from ADHD. Any illness can victimize a person, especially when they are not aware of what is happening within them. This book has been helpful for me personally and as a clinician. Please follow link below.

I thank my fans and all the reviews, It is gratifying to know that the book could make a difference. Thank You so much. Thank You Maria, I am so glad you are moving on a healing path.

This book has helped me in so many ways. It helped me to heal more from my abuses by giving me answers to questions no one could answer for me for instance, “Dreams of Flights” etc. Now I not only had a name for the my experiences, I also had a reason why these experiences continued to happen from time to time. The book helped me to continue to heal my life even more than I ever thought was possible. I cannot express how much I appreciate Dan’s courage, strength and his ability to put his life story into words in such a wonderful and healing way that touched my heart and soul. Not only has this book helped me tremendously, I feel as if I am now more capable to help others as well. Thank you Dan for sharing a very personal part of yourself to all of us . . . what a special gift.

I strongly recommend this book to others who have been abused so they may hopefully feel less alone, and can be a springboard for further healing. I also recommend this book to others who have not been abused so they will hopefully understand more of the life changing effects of abuse.
