How will this book benefit you?

For the general public, the book gives the reader an inside view of an individuals struggle with his experience with sexual abuse. No one is prepared for life trauma, let alone a child. This is a true account of how the lingering effects of abuse effect the person and spill out onto others and his relationships. One will leave the book with a feeling of hope and encouragement. The book offers many perspectives on overcoming stress , and life trauma.

For victims of abuse, this book will give you something to relate to and offer hope, that there is a GOOD life after abuse. One does not have to suffer from depression, torn self esteem, and failed relationships. It is brutally honest, with metaphors of life’s teachings and how to achieve happiness.

For the professional therapist, it will offer a unique approach to different treatment paradigms, and the importance of being open. All types of treatment modalities have some benefit. This book gives you a feel for one man’s path of overcoming abuse, however also shows that being open and finding humility benefits all involved.  The question, should one confront their perpetrator? Is still debated in certain therapeutic circles. For Dr. Williams it proved beneficial, for others it may not be. As in medicine, there is not just one panacea for all. Life is eclectic, so should your treatment options.

ONE OF THE LARGEST BENEFITS THAT I AS AN AUTHOR CAN DO:

A PORTION OF ALL BOOK SALES WILL GO DIRECTLY TO A NON-PROFIT AGENCY TO HELP CHILDREN OF SEX ABUSE.
