I attended your presentation at the Mildred Berry Center and was intrigued by your story. As a co-facilitator of Juvenile Sex Offender groups in the area, I felt compelled to read your book. It is interesting to be able to share with the group some of the lifelong effects of sexual abuse from an adult victim prospective. The challenge continues to be getting my group members to recognize the impact they have had on others while having them deal with the issues that led them to abuse with the goal of preventing future victims.

Thank you so much for having the courage to share your story. Healing is certainly a lifelong process. May you continue to be blessed as you bless others!

Sandy,

Yes I do remember you. Thank you for your story. Nature always gives to us in some way. Nature is the absolute truth. The sun will continue to rise, and all nature will always be there for us to enjoy. I would suggest contacting www.healingdoc.com. My mentor Dr. Hammerschlag has Native American healing retreats in Arizona. I wish you well along your path. Keep listening to our brothers and sisters, the winged ones and all living creatures. They will enrich your soul.

Dan - I am "the lady" who shared my story with you about the butterfly and the hummingbird after my heart attack. It's amazing how nature shines on us when we least expect it and I try everyday to look at it's miracles. FYI - I went to SIUE and loved it there. Also, how can I find out about attending a native american healing? Somehow I feel a close connection with them. My son and daughter have Blackfoot in them. It's so good to be dancing again!

Thank you so much for the compliment. I am so pleased the presentation and book moved you into a positive frame. It is so important to get the word out. One person at a time, we can make a difference. One child, one adult survivor at a time. Thank you for being one more person in the loop of healing.

Dan - Thank you for bringing me back out of depression. I have been struggling with many medical, financial and emotional issues. For the first time in many months you made me once again realize that life goes on with or without me. I am looking at nature's miracles each day - from my hummingbirds, to the branches quivering in the wind as the rain gently falls, and the doe that ran out in front of me the other morning. My attitude and outlook are beginning to shine again. Your book was awesome. Thanks for sharing your journey.
